Greece intercepted two Turkish F-16 fighter jets

Two Turkish F-16 fighter jets entered Athens’ flight information region (FIR) on Monday without submitting a flight plan, the Hellenic National Defense General Staff (GEETHA) said.

GEETHA said the planes flew over the eastern Aegean islet of Agathonisi shortly before 10 a.m., at 20,000 feet.

The Turkish aircraft were intercepted by Greek jets in line with international rules of engagement.
