Turkey decided to renew the escalation of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan and used its newest Anka-S reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles to strike at the territory of Armenia. The Turkish Anka-S drone strikes against Armenia.
The drone was not only spotted near the Armenian border but also flew at a relatively small distance from the Russian military airbase in Gyumri, which became a cause for concern among the Russian military.
According to planeradar.ru, these attack unmanned aerial vehicles could have been actively used by Turkey to strike at the territory of Armenia during serious clashes. As the source notes, such provocative flights, including in the airspace of Georgia, raise serious concerns about whether Turkey is planning to start a full-scale military conflict with Armenia.
Experts note that aggressive rhetoric on the part of Ankara may indicate the preparation of another drone war against Armenia, however, due to the superiority of the Turkish drone, Turkey will begin to control Armenian airspace – today Armenia has enough arsenal to fight against drones or shock enemy helicopters and fighters, and without the presence of Armenian air defense system, any military operation of the Turkish military is obviously going to succeed.
