Armenia has new losses – another S-300 air defense system was destroyed. It became known about the destruction of another missile division of the Armenian Armed Forces orchestrated by Azerbaijani Army using Israeli-made LORA ballistic missile.
The armed forces of Azerbaijan with a powerful missile strike destroyed one of the largest deployment areas of the Armenian S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems. The strike on the S-300 positions was coordinated from an unmanned aerial vehicle using laser targeting system, after which, apparently, a strike was struck using tactical missile weapons, in particular, Israeli “Lora” ballistic missile.
On the presented video frames, you can see several mobile launchers of the S-300 air defense system located at the same military installation. Azerbaijani surveillance drones captured video of the LORA ballistic missile strike using infrared cameras.
The missile canisters are in a firing position (launch containers are raised to the top). After a few more seconds, a powerful blow is inflicted on the area where the S-300 is located, indicating the complete destruction of the position of the S-300 air defense missile system.
The Armenian Ministry of Defense acknowledged the destruction of the S-300 SAM of the its military, the day after Armenia striked a ballistic missile in Ganja. However, this is already the third region of the deployed Armenian S-300s, which was destroyed by Azerbaijan, and in addition, another S-300 region north of Stepanakert was destroyed.
Remarkable is the fact that the S-300 SAM was unable to detect and intercept the LORA tactical missile in a timely manner, which raises many questions as to whether this weapon is effective against such targets.
The Russian news agency Sputnik has obtained information about the destruction of another missile division of the Armenian Armed Forces, deployed near the border with Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan. According to the source, the photo shows one of the destroyed P-17 Elbrus OTRK, which was preparing to strike at the territory of Azerbaijan.
A few days earlier it became known that as a result of a powerful strike by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, an entire missile division of the Tochka-U OTRK was destroyed (initially, mobile launchers were taken for Iskander OTRK, Which indicates that Armenia lost a significant part of its tactical missile weapons – in particular, according to Sputnik news, in total, Armenia had four Iskander and Tochka-U missile systems and eight Elbrus missile systems were lost to either Turkish-made TB2 drone strikes or Israeli-made LORA missile and Kamikaze drone strikes.
