A column of Russian S-400 air defense systems got into a serious accident, reported iz.ru newspaper.
A few hours ago, a convoy of S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems, moving along the Mozhaisk highway in the Moscow region, got into a serious accident. The driver of the mobile launcher of the S-400 air defense missile system lost control, according to a preliminary report, as a result, the driver of the S-400 launcher rammed four cars – one dump truck, two cars and a military automobile inspection vehicle.
There are no known casualties as a result of the accident, but the nature of the damage to the mobile launcher is still unknown, just as it is not reported whether the missiles were in the launch containers.
“The military tractor was unlikely to be seriously damaged – the cars were more likely to be damaged. Nevertheless, taking into account what may be in such containers, even such a slight accident could initiate an explosion with a large number casualties”, a Russian military expert said.
There are no official comments on this yet, however, taking into account the cost of one mobile launcher, the damage could be up to several hundred million dollars.
