Azerbaijan has deployed ten thousand service members and more than a hundred tanks on the border with Armenia, according to a report by aa.com.tr.
Although Yerevan and Baku consider the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh settled, it became known that the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan decided to deploy ten thousand service members and more than a hundred tanks near the borders of Armenia.
Azerbaijan said it is conducting joint Azerbaijani-Turkish military exercises, but the risk of resumption of hostilities against Armenia remains very high.
On March 15, Turkey and Azerbaijan will be held military exercise; in addition to the ground forces, air force and strike reconnaissance drones will also participate in the training– since the last conflict, the Bayraktar TB2 and Harop UAVs radically changed the course of the war.
Among other things, it is also known that Armenia is also planning to conduct large-scale military exercises – they will be held from March 16 to March 20.
The Armed Forces of Armenia will hold their exercises from March 16 to 20. They will involve 7500 servicemen, 100 armored vehicles, 200 missile and artillery systems, 90 air defense units, said Armenia.
The military deployment of both sides may be preparation for a new armed conflict. The likelihood of a new armed conflict between Armenia, Turkey and Azerbaijan has sharply increased after it became known that Turkey and Azerbaijan were building up their forces near Armenia’s borders.
The Armenian National Committee of America has already announced that Baku and Ankara are considering the possibility of an attack on the Syunik region to cut off Armenia from any communication; besides, other facts are indicating that they know about a possible new armed conflict and the Russian side.
It is known that the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) wrote an appeal to US President Joe Biden with a request to draw attention to the fact that Azerbaijan and Turkey are preparing an attack on the Armenian Syunik. They created their new military facility on the territory of Armenia, just in the Sinyuk region, which indicates that the Russian military is also aware of the likely attack by Azerbaijan and Turkey in this region.
The situation in Armenia is immensely aggravated by unrest in Armenia itself and the open confrontation between Russian President Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan due to his accusation that useless Russian weapons were the reason for the loss of Nagorno-Karabakh.
