On March 10, it became known that the Su-27 fighter was shot down near Kyiv. The photograph shows an unopened parachute indicating that the pilot was killed while the aircraft caught fire. The combat aircraft itself fell on a residential building, resulting in fires.
Military experts that the Ukrainian Air Force has lost the significant capability to fly their MiG-29, a plausible explanation that Ukrainian S-300PS anti-air missile shot down the Su-27 fighter.
Also, according to the same sources, Russian bombers and attack aircraft were destroyed by Ukrainian Buk-M1 surface-to-air missile systems.
One of those Buk-M1 surface-to-air systems could have been, days ago, responsible for the downing of a Russian Air Force (VVS) Su-34.
Ukrainian troops reportedly shot down three Russian Su-35 fighters near Poltava, an Su-25 attack aircraft in Gostomel and two Mi-24 helicopters in the Makarov area on March 6.
