On the night of May 14, Ukraine was subjected to a massive attack by missiles and drones. The air force managed to destroy 25 drones of various types and 3 strategic cruise missiles.
According to the Air Force Command, air defence assets eliminated 18 Iranian kamikaze drones Shahed-131, Shahed-136, one Russian Lancet and two Orlan-10 operationally tactical drones. The type of 4 other downed UAVs has not been ascertained.
In addition to the drones, Ukraine was attacked by strategic cruise missiles Kh-101, Kh-55 and Kh-555. They were carried by Russian Tu-95MS strategic aircraft. The Ukrainian Air Force was able to shoot down three missiles.
How many drones and missiles reached their targets is not specified. However, it is known that hits on private enterprise buildings in Ternopil were recorded during the night. Two people were taken to hospital as a result of the explosions. Closer to the morning, several more rocket attacks were recorded in the Ternopil region.
