Marshall Awarded Contract To Produce Command and Control Systems Shelter For Sweden

Marshall has been awarded a seven-year, $127 million contract for the development of Sweden’s command and control shelter suites.

The UK company will deliver up to 500 shelters over the next four years, with the option to extend for three more after completion.

All 16 shelter variants will adapt Marshall’s standard 20-foot (6-meter) container range, with combinations of electromagnetic shielding, HVAC, and CBRN filtration systems installed in them.

The contract also covers the design and production of modular workspaces and ancillary equipment for the administration. Power units, battery boxes, and mast trailers will also be supplied.

Additionally, parts supply and ongoing technical and maintenance support will be provided for up to 10 years.

Marshall has partnered with other armed forces to supply new solutions to logistics and personnel support.

One of its more recent projects includes a deal with the US Air Force to create a “containerized system that can be deployed with Lockheed Martin’s C-130 tactical airlifter.

The company’s Deployable Operations and Maintenance System (DOMS) is slated to provide easier access to support equipment in the field, while also supporting aircrews in rapid deployments.
